By bridging the gap between rural households and emergency obstetric care, maternity homes—also known as maternity waiting homes, or MWHs—are essential community infrastructure that enhances mother and newborn survival. They give pregnant women safe, encouraging, and easily available care while increasing facility-based deliveries and lowering perinatal mortality and obstructed labor.
The Fantenkwa North District Assembly launched the Maternity Block project in Ahomahomaso. In order to provide the residents of Ahomahomaso and the surrounding towns with better access to timely and safe maternal healthcare.
